Middle daughter, Liz, is home from college for a few months. She spent this beautiful summer morning picking blueberries (9 pints!) with her grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins while I stayed home and cleaned the kitchen and made some phone calls. I'm happy for the time to myself. I listened to my favorite radio station and allowed myself to become distracted from my work. I couldn't resist the temptation to chat on-line with my youngest, Jessica, who was in what she calls her "crazy Quest class" at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

Blueberries and the lazy days of summer
